2010 WGBA Board of Directors

The WGBA Board of Directors is a volunteer body of professionals who oversee the operations of WGBA, and guides activities to coincide with our mission.
We are grateful to the following individuals for their time and effort to WGBA as Board Members:

 

d'Andre Willis d’Andre Willis, WGBA President. d’Andre is an architect with Hammel, Green and Abrahamson in Milwaukee.   She is a Principal in HGA’s Arts, Community and Education practice group and an Associate Vice President of the company.   She is a LEED accredited professional and a member of the AIA.     d'Andre earned a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M. Arch. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.   She also serves on the board of managers of the Milwaukee Downtown YMCA and received the 2008 WCREW Construction Leadership award from Wisconsin Commercial Real Estate Women.
Anthony Mayer Anthony Mayer, WGBA Vice President. Anthony Mayer, Pioneer Roofing. Anthony is an Urban Planning graduate from UW Milwaukee, and a Green Roof Specialist. He is focused on the marketing, design and implementation of green roof systems in Wisconsin. He delivers presentations on green roofing to audiences across Wisconsin.
Cindy Finstad Cindy Finstad, WGBA Treasurer. As Construction Executive for M.A. Mortenson Company, Cindy trains and supervises project managers, provides customer service for key projects, and coordinates the preconstruction and contracting process with Owners and the subcontractors.
korinne haeffel Korinne Haeffel, Secretary. Korinne is a Project Designer and Green Building Specialist with the Kubala Washatko Architects in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.  She has a bachelor’s of science degree in architectural studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and she is an experienced LEED Accredited Professional. She is engaged in various advocacy measures including Mayor Barrett’s Green Building Taskforce, Chairing the Milwaukee area WGBA Education and Advocacy Committee, and she is currently serving as a USGBC Heartland Regional Council Representative.
Josh Arnold Mary Schlaefer, Board Member. Mary is the Director of Focus on Energy and Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation. Most recently, Mary served as deputy secretary for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), where she oversaw the Department’s work on energy and climate change. Mary has been a key advisor to the Governor’s Office on energy and climate issues.
Greg Thomson Greg Thomson, Board Member. Greg is on the faculty of UW Milwaukee’s Department of Architecture. Aside from teaching, his research includes passive systems of environmental control and sustainable design.
Steve Mech
Steve Mech, Board Member.Steve is the President of CSA Commercial, a private real estate development and investment firm headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  In his role with the company, Steve specializes in acquisitions, asset management, and sustainable development.  Steve is a LEED accredited professional.
Matt Mano Matthew Mano, Board Member. Matt is a LEED AP, Architectural Designer and Green Building Consultant with Stephen Perry Smith Architects. He has been involved in all areas of commercial office buildings, industrial, and residential work and has overseen all LEED certified projects within the office and has worked with all LEED rating systems that are issued for public use.  He has a BS in Architectural Studies from UW-Milwaukee.
Nick Mueller
Nick Mueller, Board Member. Nick is a Project Manager with The Boldt Company in Appleton, and is a member of Boldt's Green Team. He has been with Boldt since 2004 and works in their commercial, healthcare, and higher education divisions. Nick is a LEED AP, is Green Advantage Certified, and is an active contributor to the Fox Valley Member Circle. He received a Master of Architecture from the School of Architecture and Urban Planning – University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.
Rick Walker
Rick Walker, Board Member. Rick is a Vice President at Transwestern Sustainability Services. Rick leads the process and business management aspects for Transwestern's sustainability practice. His background includes new business line development for Johnson Controls, Invensys Building Systems and Siemens. He was a board member for the National Association of Energy Services Companies and a member of the LEED for Existing Buildings Core Committee and Co-Chair of Siemens Sustainability Committee.
Brian Anderson Brian Anderson, Board Member. Brian is an attorney with Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek, SC. He serves as counsel for numerous businesses, including design and construction firms, law firms, manufacturers, financial institutions, investors, building owners, retailers, and developers. Brian provides risk management advice regarding sustainable building certification and acts as special counsel in related litigation. He has spoken on the subject of sustainable building and its attendant legal risks at numerous national events sponsored by, among others, the AGC, NAHB, and the American Bar Association. Mr. Anderson is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED-AP).
Jennifer Guslick Jennifer Guslick, Board Member. Jennifer works for Frankin Energy Services. LLC. She is a Program Manager for We Energies' Education & Awareness Program. Jennifer previously was a Marketing Coordinator & Sustainability Consultant with Hunzinger Construction Company / Sustainable Building Solutions. She been actively involved with the USGBC and WGBA for over 4 years and currently serves on the WGBA Education Committee. She is a LEED AP, and WasteCap Accredited Professional.
Nicole Truog Nicole Truog, Board Member. Nicole is Associate Director for Marquette University’s Center for Real Estate and adjunct faculty teaching courses on Ethics and Sustainability.  She worked at LaSalle Bank as Manager of Sustainable Development and at The Congress for the New Urbanism.  Nicole received the YWCA of Chicago Promise Award in recognition for civic and corporate leadership and serves on local boards and committees.
Phil vetterkind Phil Vetterkind, Board Member. Phil is Director of Sustainable Building Solutions, a sustainable and green consulting company in Brookfield.  Phil is currently serving as a USGBC Heartland Regional Council Representative and is chair of the City of Waukesha Sustainable Ad Hoc Committee.   Phil is an experienced LEED Accredited Professional and has worked on many LEED projects including LEED-NC, LEED-CI, LEED-EBOM, and LEED for Homes.  Along with working at S.B.S., Phil is a Project Estimator for Hunzinger Construction.
Paul von Paumgartten Paul von Paumgartten, Board Member. Paul is President of Productive Environments, a Sustainability Consulting Firm. He is also a Senior Green Building Advisor for the Building Efficiency business of Johnson Controls. He has been an industry expert and spokesperson for the last 25 years around the issues of energy efficiency, green buildings and sustainable communities. Paul served on the national USGBC Board of Directors for 9 years.
