Course Content:
This 1.6 hour webinar outlines the role of the HVAC contractor as it relates to various LEED rating systems. How to acquire LEED projects through the correct company marketing and strategic proposals will be reviewed. Participants will receive a better understanding of integrated mechanical product selection and correct documentation to promote a streamlined path towards LEED certification. The seminar is geared toward HVAC contractors who have passed the LEED Accredited Professional exam and are working towards acquiring LEED projects as well as maintaining their LEED AP credential.

About the Instructor
David Hubka, LEED AP, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. David is the Sustainable Projects Manager at Total Mechanical where he guides every LEED project from conception to certification. He has worked on LEED for New Construction, LEED for Core & Shell, LEED for Existing Buildings, LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance, LEED for Commercial Interiors and LEED for Homes projects. He provides guidance to the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, service and building automation divisions such that their respective LEED prerequisites and credits are achieved. He has worked on projects that have achieved silver, gold and platinum certification. David has prepared the commissioning manual for a 1.7 million square foot multi-use facility that achieved LEED for Existing Buildings Silver certification. Additionally, David has performed the energy simulation modeling as required by the LEED rating system.
In addition to his full time job David also teaches private, and public, LEED training seminars to companies and associations around the country. His has taught LEED to engineers, architects, contractors, facility managers, developers, commercial real estate agents, building commissioners and equipment venders. His class is an excellent resource for those preparing for the LEED exam as well as a great refresher for LEED APs working on LEED projects.
