Greening the Conference...

tree

A number of WGBA members have volunteered to make this year's conference as sustainable as possible. Check back here for news on initiatives for this year's event, and ways you will be able to contribute to this effort.

WGBA considers it important to reduce waste, support the local economy, lessen our carbon footprint, and reduce the overall impact on the environment when we hold our events. We have signed USGBC's "Green Meetings Pledge"

Take the Low Carbon Travel Pledge!

Take the Pledge by carpooling or cycling to Oconomowoc and the conference.

When you register for the conference, you'll be asked to take the Low Carbon Travel Pledge. Those people who sign up will be recognized on a bulletin board at registration, and listed on this webpage. Pledgers also are encouraged to BLOG on their carbon-reduction strategies (follow link below), and the most ingenious, creative and high-impact pledger(s) will receive recognition at the SE2 Opening Ceremony.
